Support Urban Farming Education

If you’re looking for an opportunity to give back and learn a lot in the process, then join us! Volunteering at our teaching farm is a great way to enjoy outdoor activities in Reno with friends, family and co-workers.

Current Farm Volunteer Opportunities:

Sign up to help us with special projects or regular farm maintenance at our Urban Teaching Farm
(1700 East 2nd Street, Reno). Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

We try to accomplish one large farm project each week. These projects could include lifting, shoveling, bending over and sometimes using power tools.

Volunteer hours are held 2nd Saturday of the month. Please sign-up for all volunteer opportunities through the link below

Schedule a Group Volunteer Day

Looking for a group workday of 10 or more people as part of a corporate, school, or organizational day of service? Contact us to schedule a service day. We're happy to work with groups to determine a day and time that works best for everyone!

Thank you again for such an uplifting volunteering morning! I thought everyone, both seasoned gardeners and those new-to-this-life, really enjoyed the time together! And once again, you were so enthusiastic in your welcoming and walking-about. The structures and plants and air would be so marginal without the enthusiasm of a staff member. You communicate above all your genuine love for the place and purposes. I'll come by again for more wonderful volunteering-times and until then, all good thoughts to you and to the rest of the UR community!
